Phoebe Waller-Bridge will Create a TV Series for Prime Video's Tomb Raider
Known for creating and starring in the incredible TV comedy and drama series Fleabag, Emmy Award winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge will lead the new Amazon Prime Video television series based on Tomb Raider, which is a franchise of games that we love so much and that, before, had already come to life in cinemas, twice, by Angelina Jolie, and, 15 years later, by Alicia Vikander.
This project is an agreement between Phoebe and the streaming platform, which, before that, was involved in another project that had already come to life for Angelina Jolie, who was a new version of Mr. Smith, also for Prime Video, but who decided to leave the project.
We still have little information, but one thing is certain: Phoebe Waller-Bridge, despite being a funny and sarcastic person, takes her work very seriously to the series. She has a “Midas touch”, and seems to be able to make any business prosper, create wealth and multiply the audience. Who knows, maybe it will bring us an incredible story, capable of honoring the fans, but also winning over the new generation that still doesn't know as much about Tomb Raider and its incredible protagonist, Lara Croft, as we do.
Soon, Tomb Raider will also have an anime series for Netflix, which has already been announced on the streaming platform.
In addition to the two announced series, we will also have games, one of them for mobile.
We're anxious and excited with the upcoming news.
