Unreal Engine 5 Transforms Tomb Raider: Lara Croft's Classic Return!

On March 20, 2024, at the State of Unreal event during the Game Developers Conference, Simon Tourangeau, VP of Engineering at Unreal Engine, detailed the upcoming features in Unreal Engine 5.4, including local fog volumes, Niagara lightweight emitters, Lumen, Shadows and Ray Tracing, variable rate shading for Nanite, enhanced instance culling, and improved renderer parallelism.
