We’ve been waiting for quite some time for news about the next Tomb Raider game, which is expected to be announced later this year or next (at least that’s what we hope), but while that hasn’t happened yet, it’s worth checking out the franchise’s latest release: Tomb Raider Pinball, coming to Pinball FX on June 19 for PlayStation 4 and 5.

The game features two tables: Adventures of Lara Croft and Secrets of Croft Manor. Adventures of Lara Croft takes players through classic locations like Peru, Egypt, the Great Wall, and Tibet, facing familiar enemies like Natla, Werner Von Croy, and Mark Willard. One of the highlights is the third-person shooting mode with Lara’s iconic dual pistols, along with the Survivor Wizard Mode, which brings together moments from the Survivor trilogy in a final challenge.

Secrets of Croft Manor focuses on the Croft family mansion, letting players explore hallways, secret rooms, agility challenges, puzzles, and even encounter the butler Winston — who, keeping with tradition, can be locked in the freezer. A cool detail is the interactive fireplace at the center of the table, which changes its function depending on the active mission.
Even though it might sound like an unlikely combo, Tomb Raider and pinball work surprisingly well together, delivering fast-paced action and constant challenges. For fans looking for something fun to pass the time while waiting for the next big game in the series, Tomb Raider Pinball is a solid option. It launches June 19 on Pinball FX.
So, what do you think of this new release?
